So you have found out you are expecting a new family member, now all the excitement starts of getting ready for a baby in your home and hearts. This is when the first of many lists that you will be writing and re-writing of all the items you need to buy, things you need to get done before the baby arrives and those great safe spots that you put things and can never remember where it was! This is a special moment that you want to cherish and remember how round your pregnancy belly was and how this little person who was growing inside you actually fit there in the first place. Some parents have maternity and newborns photography sessions booked early and others get to late into their pregnancy and then remember that they have forgotten to book in their sessions.
Maternity sessions are best done around 32-36 weeks when your belly is nice and round but you are still quite comfortable. You can choose to have a relaxed session in casual clothes, semi naked or in our beautiful studio maternity dresses which are available for use for our clients only. Newborn sessions are generally booked in for in the first 2 weeks so your little one is nice and sleepy and content being curled up in those sweet newborn poses. If you can’t make it in those first two weeks, don’t stress we have done many older babies and still been able to capture beautiful curled poses and follow your little one’s cues for the session.
